Spring Neighborhood Cleanup Applications are now open for 2018. Spring Neighborhood Cleanup Applications must be turned in by March 1st, 2018. The following dates have been approved by the Muncie Sanitary District as your scheduled neighborhood cleanup day. There are no rain dates. ALL CLEAN UPS ARE FROM 8:00 A.M. UNTIL 11:45 A.M. (THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS).
Spring 2018 Dates:
Saturday, May 5th and Saturday, May 12th, 2018
Fall 2018 Dates:
Saturday, September 15th and Saturday, September 22nd, 2018
Neighborhoods requesting a truck must have at least six people who will definitely participate in the cleanup, rain or shine. At least two of these people must be at the truck site/starting point by 8:00 a.m. to meet the truck. If you have requested that the truck travel the neighborhood, alleys or streets, a resident must be on hand to go with the truck to help load the trash. Residents should not expect MSD employees to pick up all the trash throughout the neighborhood without assistance during the cleanup.
The Muncie Sanitary District will not make a return trip the week after your clean up to pick up piles of items set out by residents who did not help with your clean up. ZERO TIRES WILL BE PICKED UP. Street Sweeping will not be done until the Monday following your Neighborhood’s scheduled cleanup date.
Please remember that your neighborhood must have the above-mentioned number of volunteers present on the day of your scheduled clean up. If you do not have the correct number of volunteers or if this is a no-show event, your neighborhood is subject to a probation period for upcoming events and/or removal from future neighborhood cleanups.
