Rain Barrels can be a very easy and affordable way to make an  environmental impact in your community.  Large amounts of stormwater runoff come off of your roof everytime it rains and travels and picks up pollutants on the way to the stormdrain. 

Just imagine catching 55 gallons of rain during a good storm instead of allowing it to add polluted stormwater to a combined sewer system or even the river.  House plants and gardens love rain water as well.
