Shred Day during Earth Week, Spring Neighborhood Cleanups, & 2020 HHW Numbers
Community Shred Day Update:
- MSD will host a weeklong Earth Week Shredding event at East Central Recycling starting Monday, April 19th– April 23rd, 2021 from 8a-4p. This will be a drive-up service with COVID-19 safety precautions in place. Details will be posted on our website and social media in the future.
- Residents can simply pull up with boxes or bags of paper during these times and will be able to shred up to 50 lbs. of paper per resident. We will only offer this service to residents. Businesses can shred their paper for a fee charged by ECR. Last year we shredded 4.37 tons of paper in a half day.
- In the future, to make paper shredding more accessible and user friendly, we are planning to add a shredding coupon to our Blue Bag Recycling Coupons that we mail out twice a year in July and December to over 21k households. The coupon will allow residents to shred up to 50 lbs. every 6 months at ECR. They could take advantage of this offer during regular business hours, which are 6 days a week Mon-Fri 8a-5p, and Saturday 8a-Noon. Residents can sign up on our website or by calling 765-213-6450.
Spring Neighborhood Cleanups Announcement:
- Spring Neighborhood Cleanups Applications are available now on our website and we mailed them to all neighborhood leaders on our mailing list. The dates for the Spring Cleanups are May 1st, 8th, and 15th, 2021. Applications are due by April 1st, 2021.
