The damage caused by severe storms and flooding February 27 through March 8 was NOT widespread enough or severe enough to warrant a request for a presidential disaster declaration and accompanying Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grants. This doesn’t mean that people didn’t sustain substantial damage—many did. But there wasn’t enough uninsured damage reported to trigger an application to FEMA.
