| Sony Corp. aims for zero environmental footprint by 2050 |

Electronics giant Sony Corp. has announced a new environmental plan that sets a goal of achieving a zero environmental footprint by 2050.
The company has set specific targets for its global companies to meet by March 2016 as part of the plan. As part of its "Road to Zero" plan, the company is looking at not only waste reduction and neutralization of carbon emissions but also the use of finite materials such as oil-derived virgin plastics, the company said.
